We didn't do too many of the adrenaline pumping tourist attractions in New Zealand but one activity that caught our eye was luging. In Rotorura we decided to give it a try. We jumped on a gondola that took us up the side of the hill, strapped on our helmets (I tried not to think of lice) and jumped into the gravity driven luge cart. You pull up on the handlebars to stop, gravity does the rest. Zipping down the trails, zooming around the corners and laughing over bumps was loads of fun. A quick ride back up on the chairlift and we did it all over again, and again, and again. A fun few hours for the entire family.

Vios seemed most excited to find this digger at the top ... I am reminded as much as he keeps up with the older kids he is still a little guy.

Heading back up with the luges attached to lift. |

Like all good tourist attractions there was a seemingly random Jelly Belly shop at the top. The Mona Lisa in Jelly Beans, and Solaz wishing we would buy some (they are his favorite). |
