Petroglyphs and Pictographs

Petroglyphs are carvings in the rocks left by people thousands of years ago. Petroglyphs can be found all over the world and sometimes with their relative a pictograph; Pictographs are like a petroglyph but they aren't a carving, they are painted on to the rock and they are mostly found in caves so they are protected from the worst of the winds and heavy rain. I saw only petroglyphs but I saw a lot.
